A toy brings magic to childhood. It takes something from the world around us and puts it in a child’s hand. It can be held, moved, named, talked to, given a sound, given words to say, given a part to play, and given away. It is a bridge to the world of pretend play. Good toys are colorful and clever reminding a child of something real in their world. Great toys have contour and texture with parts that can be moved and assembled into tiny little worlds all their own. Most of the art work and photos shown here are original.
