- This app presents a silly (absurd) sentence and then asks why it does not make sense.
- After the student gives a reason the app provides an answer.
- Key words in each sentence begin with target speech sounds ("s", "z", "r", "l", "sh", "ch", "th").
- The answers are delivered in an upbeat and humorous tone that encourages a child to see the absurd as funny.
- It can be an exercise in answering "why" questions, understanding absurdities, appreciating this form of humor, and/or practising target speech sounds in sentences and conversation.
- After working with a few of the questions, it can become a fun activity with much to laugh about together.
